One More Chance (OMC) Priority Project’s Aim is to Return Homeless Veterans Back to Society With a Home, Job and a Future All Facilitated by our Planned Oasis Center. That’s where you come in.

Our Oasis Center will be open to any homeless person with the desire to have a home, a job and to become a part of society. We need your help in completing that goal!

How Your Donations Help

By supporting One More Chance for Vets, you enable us to actively reach out to homeless camps, ensuring they receive essential provisions for their daily lives. Your contribution empowers us to provide the following vital items:

1. Nourishing Food
2. Essential Toiletries
3. Clothing and Shoes
4. Refreshing Water (especially crucial during scorching Sacramento Summers!)

We gratefully accept both monetary donations and physical goods if you’re a local supporter, making it convenient for you to contribute directly.
Our ultimate objective is to establish an Oasis, a sanctuary where we can profoundly impact the lives of the homeless. This transformative space will offer comprehensive support, including housing assistance, rehabilitation programs, assistance with paperwork, access to showers, and any other services necessary to facilitate their successful reintegration into society. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in their lives.

Step 1 - Interview

Are you a veteran (not required)? What caused you to become homeless? Is there a drug/alcohol or any addiction problem? What are your skills and what would you like to do for employment?
Are there any children involved? If so, what are their ages?  What are your goals for the future?

Step 2 - Review & Sign Agreement

Must agree to random drug testing, stay clean and sober, show up for work when scheduled, participate in educational programs that will advance your job and future employment.

Step 3 - Find temporary housing/employment

OMC will help find housing and temporary employment as it becomes available. Designed to get you back into society and will be available on your continued efforts to become un-homeless.

Step 4 - Start on needed paper work

OMC’S services that we normally charge for, will no be charged to you while you are active in our program.

Step 5 - make plans for career development

OMC will help find you career training to make you ready for a good-paying job. This will depend on you. What are you looking for in a job? What skills do you need? OMC is here to find career opportunities for you and help you develop needed skills. We do not guarantee employment. Only you can establish what you need to hold a job.

Step 6 - Finding permanent employment

Once you have developed the necessary skills, we will help you to find employment that fits your skills and training. We will help with a resume and letters of recommendation based on your time with OMC’s training program.

Step 7 - Find permanent housing

Once permanent employment is acquired, we will help with finding permanent housing that could even be home ownership. Home ownership requires adequate income, fair credit, and availability of housing.

OMC was started in 2015 with the intent of giving ONE MORE CHANCE to those in our community who need a helping hand not a handout.

The One More Chance Homeless Veterans Project aims to bring as many homeless veterans off the streets as possible. We provide jobs, food and shelter to those who served our country. We also offer mental support and material aid to those coming out of jail. The OMC donation locations are staffed by veterans. Our mission depends on each individual’s generosity to give back to those who gave their all.

About the Founders

Our Motivation

James 2;14-18

What use is it, my brethren, if a man says he has faith, but he has no works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food. And one of you say to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled” and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that? Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself. But someone may well say, “You have faith, and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works”.

“Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime”
